Inhaled corticosteroid treatment in children with asthma

The recent report concluded that children with asthma inhaled corticosteroid application is not due to the increase of bone structure damage. Application of glucocorticoid treatment eliminated some paediatricians worry that long-term treatment on bone produce adverse effects. Danish investigators on the 157 long-term inhaled budesonide in children with asthma and 111 not inhaled corticosteroid for asthma study compared children. Inhaled glucocorticoids in children 3-6 years and has never used drugs among children, the total bone mineral density, bone mineral total volume, total osteocalcin or body tissues revealed no statistically significant difference.
